CFM Updates - May 2025

This month we added 9 new features and 13 enhancements to CFM. We present our highlights of May.

We are continuously upgrading Cloud Fleet Manager, adding new functionality, enhancements and improving the overall usability. With this article, we would like to give you a brief overview of some of the greater edits to the system. For a comprehensive overview of all changes, you can visit the "What's New" report in Cloud Fleet Manager at any time to see what exactly happened in each of our modules.

New features and enhancements

CFM Bunker

CFM Bunker offers you full transparency regarding your bunker. You can easily document the amount and type of bunker as well as the location of bunkering. Add attachments, such as bunker delivery notes at your convenience. Additionally, you have the option to document and administrate bunker samples.

  • ShipClient Bunker Reports now enforce mandatory fields based on verifier requirements, helping ensure complete bunker records and supporting regulatory compliance.

CFM Cashbox & Bonded Store

CFM Cashbox & Bonded Store makes it much easier to handle cash on board. Just set up your default currency cashboxes ashore and synchronise to your fleet. For a smooth transition from paper to digital work, your crew only needs to register the initial balance and is immediately ready. Cashbox allows you to keep track of all cashbox transactions and raise a cash to master request when new money is needed. Bonded Stores seamlessly integrates with Cashbox and assists you to register all transactions in your on-board shop.

  • Bonded Store item and group lists are now sorted alphanumerically by default across Settings, Store View and Inventory, making navigation faster and more consistent.

CFM Crewing

CFM Crewing is your one-stop solution to handle all crew-related tasks centrally and in an intuitive way. From master data management of seafarers, planning the crews on board as well as their relief, the management of working and rest hours of the crew up to managing payrolls, everything can be done in one single solution.

  • The employer assigned to crew assignments is now automatically derived from the latest valid permanent contract and displayed as read-only within the assignment details, reducing manual maintenance while ensuring assignment data remains up to date.
  • Address cards for seafarers and their next of kin now include a copy-to-clipboard function, making contact information easier to reuse throughout everyday workflows.
  • A new JPMorgan CSV payment export has been introduced, enabling the seamless transfer of seafarers' allotments to JPMorgan payment workflows.
  • Leave balances now update automatically whenever person history periods change, eliminating the need for manual recalculations and ensuring balances remain accurate.
  • ShipClient performance reports now list all relevant Heads of Department, including substitutes, while automatically selecting the Head of Department currently on board by default.

CFM Maintenance

CFM Maintenance allows you to plan your maintenance work centrally, precisely and according to your requirements. It gives you full visibility of your fleet status and lets you regain control over the maintenance jobs of your fleet.

  • A new Required Parts section has been added to the Vessel view, providing a consolidated overview of the parts required to complete maintenance jobs, grouped by equipment and components.

CFM Portal

CFM Portal gives all your employees access to one central source of information. Every onshore user has a clear dashboard view of the latest and most important information on staff, departments and ships right at the beginning of the workday. Whether it’s a crew change, expired certificate or staff absence, you can efficiently identify critical incidents and prioritise your response.

  • Portal usability has been enhanced with improved visibility of operational information. Latitude and longitude entered on board are now displayed across all report types for easier comparison with AIS data, while the Apps tab is displayed automatically whenever applications are assigned.

CFM Purchase

CFM Purchase provides you with all sections of the purchasing process at one point in an intelligently structured manner, gives you full control over your budgets and allows your suppliers to work directly with this information. Thanks to an intuitive dashboard that features the most relevant information and upcoming tasks, CFM Purchase always focuses on what is important and streamlines the complete purchasing workflow.

  • The Unchecked Invoices dashboard now includes a toggle to switch between requisitions and vessels under the user's responsibility, making invoice reviews more efficient.
