We are continuously upgrading Cloud Fleet Manager, adding new functionality, enhancements and improving the overall usability. With this article, we would like to give you a brief overview of some of the greater edits to the system. For a comprehensive overview of all changes, you can visit the "What's New" report in Cloud Fleet Manager at any time to see what exactly happened in each of our modules.

New features and enhancements

CFM Circulars

The Circulars module lets you easily create, maintain and send circulars. You decide, whether the circular is sent to the whole fleet or just to specific vessel types, vessels with a specific master machine, vessels that sail under a specific flag or you simply select one of the additional options.

  • Circulars now support comments, allowing users to share feedback, mention colleagues and notify subscribers directly within the discussion.

CFM Crew Portal

CFM Crew Portal enables simpler and more transparent management of all crewing processes while reducing administrative effort. It enables your seafarers to autonomously view and manage their personal data such as certificates and to access company news and shared data.

  • Performance reports now allow seafarers to review their evaluations by agreeing or disagreeing with the assessment and adding their own remarks, supporting a more transparent feedback process.
  • New Crew Portal users can now access the system immediately after activation without waiting for background processing.

CFM Crewing

CFM Crewing is your one-stop solution to handle all crew-related tasks centrally and in an intuitive way. From master data management of seafarers, planning the crews on board as well as their relief, the management of working and rest hours of the crew up to managing payrolls, everything can be done in one single solution.

  • A new **Vessel Requirements Export** provides structured compliance information for individual vessels, making it easier to share requirements with vessel owners and support upcoming crew changes.
  • Performance management has been enhanced with seafarer feedback displayed consistently throughout the system. Agreed, disagreed and pending reviews are now clearly visible in performance overviews, reports and exports across both Crewing and Crew Portal.
  • New Planning Status filters have been added to planning views and crew lists, allowing users to quickly focus on assignments based on their current planning status.

CFM Incidents

CFM Incidents enables you to seamlessly document any incidents or near-misses that occurred onboard your vessels. After an event has been documented, corrective or preventive actions can be defined as well and are then automatically synchronised with the office.

  • Incident reports now receive automatically generated sequential reference numbers with configurable numbering formats, improving traceability and consistency.

CFM Procedures

CFM Procedures enables you to send instructions to your vessels fast and easily, making sure that your fleet is up to date regarding e.g. safety instructions - achieving compliance with ease. Effortlessly send company policies and work instructions, or assign responsibilities aboard your ships.

  • Read Confirmations can now be exported, making it easier to review and document user acknowledgement of procedures.

CFM Purchase

CFM Purchase provides you with all sections of the purchasing process at one point in an intelligently structured manner, gives you full control over your budgets and allows your suppliers to work directly with this information. Thanks to an intuitive dashboard that features the most relevant information and upcoming tasks, CFM Purchase always focuses on what is important and streamlines the complete purchasing workflow.

  • Purchase templates now support additional vessel information, including build yard and build number, simplifying supplier communication.
  • Purchase delivery tracking has been enhanced with a more detailed activity log, providing better visibility of warehouse steps and delivery changes throughout the process.

CFM Certificates

CFM Certificates ensures that you all your necessary certificates are up to date and this way, that your vessels are seaworthy. It provides you with various options for the setup of certificate types, such as pre-warning periods, categorization on the revalidation (on expiry, annual or intermediate surveys), the definition of port- or flag-state requirements, or the assignment of responsibilities.

  • Vessel Certificates have been enhanced with configurable notifications for expiring and updated certificates, while certificates now remain valid through their expiry date. Activity logs have also been improved with clearer certificate information to strengthen traceability.
